Fun Run on Friday!
Full Week of School
Message from Mr. Burns
I hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful weekend! I am hopeful that this weather will continue into this week so the kids can have outdoor recess the entire week:)
We're excited for the Fun Run this Friday! A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far! This event is vital for supporting all the activities our PTA hosts at Wims. Many of our events, like Movie Night, are free for families to enjoy, thanks to the funds raised during the Fun Run. Let's keep pushing to reach our goal together! đ
Finally, come out and join our annual Clarksburg Cluster Night at Coyote Canyon- Clarkburg HS Football Stadium on October 10. Click here to view the flyer and register for the event.

Greetings, Wildcats!
We hope you had a wonderful time on Friday at Movie Night! It was great to see our Wims community coming together for a great evening and despite a few delays and tech challenges, the smiles on the faces of all who attended made the hard work worth it. On behalf of the PTA, we cannot say thank you enough to Mrs. Koko Mallicott for her planning and coordination â she is the heart of Movie Night and it wouldnât be the same without her. Thank you also to our administration and building service team, without whom we couldnât have this event. And to you - our Wims family. Thank you for your concession donations, for volunteering at the event (man, you all worked HARD), our SSL students, and for simply attending - this makes the work that we do here at Wims worth it.
Events like Movie Night are part of the reason we work so hard to fundraise during Fun Run. By sustaining our budget, we are able to pay for the screen and projector rental, keep our events admission-free, and our spirit wear affordable. We have less than one week until Fun Run and over $8,000 to reach our fundraising goal. We are asking our Wildcat community for one last push â one last call to family, friends, and neighbors â to sponsor your student(s) with a donation. I know we can do it!
Congratulations to our WEEK TWO Fun Run Winners! The following classroomsâ combined donations were enough to earn them some extra recess time: Mrs. Keller (PEP), Mrs. Taylor(K), Mrs. Curry (1st), Mrs. Benco (2nd), Mrs. Shapot (3rd). Mrs. Oakes (4th), and Mrs. Spitzberg (5th). And congratulations to 3rd Grade for raising the most funds during Week One, earning them a special movie & popcorn treat later this school year. We have just a few more days to determine the classroom with the highest percentage of registered & pledged students - who will receive their very own âsquishy Wimsy?â It is NOT TOO LATE to register your student(s) on www.mybooster.com and make a donation!
Finally, thank you to all who attended our first PTA Meeting. There were so many new faces and I was humbled by you all choosing to spend your evening with the PTA. It was wonderful to meet each of you who came to speak to me at the end and I am thrilled to hear so many offers to volunteer - we truly have an amazing school community and for that, I am grateful.

WILDCAT FUN RUN - FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11
On your mark, get set, GO! The Wildcat Fun Run is scheduled for Friday, October 11th during the school day. Visit www.mybooster.com to register your Wildcats, start them off with a donation, then share with your family, friends, and neighbors and ask them to support our school by sponsoring your student! Fun Run is a wonderful day of camaraderie, fun, and fitness and the PTA relies on this event to fund our operating budget for the year and keep our events free to our Wims community. Please register today and help us meet our $20,000 goal! We still need a lot more volunteers to make Fun Run a great day for our Wildcats. These volunteer roles are critical and impossible to do without enough hands. If you can help and want to have a great view of the run, please consider signing up to volunteer.
