JISD Parent and Family Tech Resources
By parent request we have created a Technology page for tutorials and other resources for our students and families. If you have parents asking questions about Chromebooks, Google Classroom, or other tech products, please feel free to direct them to the JISD Tech for Parents and Families.
Text to Speech Accommodations on the Chromebook
Last year we purchased Read&Write, a Chrome extension that allows students to have pieces of text read to them. It is pinned to the navigation bar on every student Chromebook with a purple puzzle piece. The video below shows students how to use the extension. It has been whitelisted for student use.
