Monday afternoon from 4:30-4:55pm will be STUDY HALL for all students. It is also snack time...so bring a snack. We expect mature diligence on your studies. If you are not studying, you might lose your position in the competition group, as well as a conference with your parents and Mr. Dixon.

99 PLEDGES MARCHATHON FUNDRAISER
We will continue this fundraiser until Labor Day.

MARCHING BAND TRIP 10/28-10/31
- LOCATION: San Antonio
- EVENT: Bands Of America Waco Regional / UIL State Marching Championships
- WHO: All members who participate in the Competition Band will attend this trip

- COST: $350 for members & chaperones due September 1st (Fundraiser goals were met)
- Everyone has the $350 charge on your account.

TWB SPRING TRIP TO NEW YORK CITY

- WHO: Open to all members of TWB. We would like to have all students participate and perform in Carnegie Hall. Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble are expected to attend.

JAZZ BAND
Remember- Region Jazz Auditions are on Wednesday, September 20 at Plano West Senior High School. Entry fee is $11, and Mrs. Stone can collect your entry.
We will continue to learn new tunes, new scale patterns, challenge our improvisational skills, and listen to our all-state etude performances.
PERCUSSION
Work to solidify changes to part one, get comfortable with Part 1 at 160 BPM and memorize part two.
- Part 1 Measure 51, big impact on beat 2. Review the changes

- Part 2 memorization - play in class for directors on Monday

All lesson teachers should be teaching lessons this week. If you do not have a time slot, Ms. Yoon still has availability.

*If logos/graphics are large, shirt can still be worn but you may be asked to turn it inside out
Continue to look ahead for Part 2 drill as it comes in and do yourself a BIG favor: lay out your rehearsal clothes WAY ahead of time. This will help you keep track of everything.
Class this week: Part 2 and Junior Guard recruiting!
- Bring all equipment to the gym EVERY day. You never know when we might need to switch gears
- All tape for the show has come in! We will start taping Part 2 flag poles purple AFTER Saturday’s rehearsal. Ballad swing flags and closer flags TBA
- If you have not finished your online training modules…you are now LATE! Get them done. They were due Friday.
- If you are not recruiting with us you will attend classes as usual
