LATE AP EXAM REGISTRATION
If you missed AP Registration this week, you need to turn in your AP Exam Registration Form and payment to the Main Office this week with the $50 per exam late fee. If we do not have payment by Friday, we will not be able to order the exam.
If you turn your form and payment into the Main Office on Monday (10/28) BEFORE THE END OF LUNCH, the late fee will be waived. Any payments turned in after that must include the $50 late fee. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Students MUST have joined all of their AP classes in their College Board AP portal BEFORE turning in their form.

FINAL WEEK OF COLLEGE REP VISITS
This is the FINAL week of Rep Visits for Juniors and Seniors to attend in the CCC. A full schedule is available on SchooLinks, and all students MUST have a signed Teacher Permission Slip turned in 24 hours prior to the event to attend (even if they do not have a class during the time of meeting). Colleges visiting this week include Pepperdine, Cal Lutheran, Emerson, Westmont, Seton Hall, University of Minnesota, and UCI. Seniors: The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will not open until December 1st. The application year you want to use is 2025-2026 (the year you will be attending college). Make sure to check college websites for their financial aid application deadlines.
Updates from the Counseling Office
Get a head start on your college education and sign up for dual enrollment. You take college courses while still in high school and receive both high school and college credits. Come to S66 everyday during Panther Time to find out more.

ANNUAL PUMPKIN SALE
Come to the Farmers Market on Sunday and see the huge pumpkins the boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams are selling. The Farmers Market is in in the student parking lot on Silver Spur at the Basswood light. Proceeds go to Pen’s lacrosse program. The teams will be at the Farmers Market every Sunday through the end of October. Don’t miss it!

Looking for the perfect Christmas tree or decorative evergreens? Look no further! Online sales are open now through November the 13th,2024. Every tree sold helps the baseball team achieve their fundraising goals. Let’s make this holiday season bright!
Drama Presents Haunted House
Are you ready for a frightful surprise this Halloween? Come to the Drama Club’s Haunted Hospital where guests take part in a mysterious case study. The Hospital is on level three of the Promenade Saturday, Oct. 26 through Halloween, Oct. 31 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Admission is free for children five and under; $5 for children six to twelve; and $8 for those thirteen and above. The staff of Eggplantia Hospital eagerly await your arrival.
AVID's been BUSY this week!
AVID Pancake Breakfast
The AVID Pancake Breakfast was held this past Saturday and was a huge success. The AVID program would like to thank all the families who donated items to the breakfast, the students who volunteered their time to make this event happen and Redondo Village Starbucks for donating all the coffee.
AVID Program Feeds The Homeless In Long Beach
The AVID program prepared meals for people experiencing homelessness this past Saturday at St Luke's Episcopal Church in Long Beach. Thank you to the generous AVID families who donated all the food for this event, to the students who prepared the lunches ahead of time and to Coach Dave Young and Ms. Andrea Ramirez who served the food on Saturday while AVID was having its annual pancake breakfast. The AVID program, in conjunction with the Rotary Interact Club, serves the homeless at St Lukes three times each school year. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to serve others who are less fortunate and a make a positive impact on the world.
Study and earn degrees in Tokyo!
Study and earn degrees in Tokyo! Rikkyo University and Peninsula High School now have a new contract for recommended admission. Every year, two students from Peninsula High are admitted to Rikkyo University. You can earn degrees conducted fully in English. Tuitions are as low as $8000 per year. Application requirements include an SAT score of 1140 or an ACT score of 23, and a minimum GPA of 3.5. If you wish to apply, please complete this form

Apply for the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council
Dr. Serrano and the Student Board Members are looking for high school students to join the Student Advisory Council! Students will meet once a month, usually second Wednesday of the month at 8:00 a.m. in the District Board room, with the Superintendent/Administrators to share their experiences, ideas, information, concerns and interests and help provide a student voice to help guide discussions and decisions. SAC members will also serve as ambassadors and engage in two-way communication with their peers/schools. Participants are asked to commit for the year. Space is limited.
