Weekly Update: February 7th, 2025
A Note from the Leadership Team
Winter report cards were sent home this week. You can also access your child's report card by logging into the Empower parent portal and clicking on the Print Progress Report button.
You can visit our website for detailed instructions on how to log into Empower and access reports. The report card will provide you with narrative comments from your child’s teachers and insights to your child’s current level of mastery in each of the competencies. Please be sure to reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions about your child’s progress.
We hope everyone enjoyed a safe snow day yesterday! Our grounds finally have some exceptional, fluffy snow the kids are loving at recess time (when it is warm enough), so please remember to send in gear - boots, snow pants and coats, mittens and hats are a must to venture off the blacktop. A set of extra clothes in your students' bag is strongly encouraged too! If you're in need of snow clothes in the right size, let your students' teacher or our nurses know!
(And please check our lost and found areas for your warm layers!)

Feb/March – Lego Adventures – Get Your Lego Game On!
Are you a Lego master? If so, it’s time to show off your skills! Each week we present a new building challenge: From skyscrapers to zoos, bridges to airports, malls to main streets, and everything in between! First, our Right Brain Curriculum instructors will review the history of what we are about to build: How airports graduated from landing strips to vast travel networks or how aeroelasticity explains why the Tacoma bridge nicknamed “Galloping Gertie” collapsed. Then, it’s time to build! You will create a model of each structure out of an enormous assortment of provided Legos, then present your creation as we photograph and document it. Learning and Legos: Now that’s an adventure!
