AREA MARCHING CONTEST ITINERARY

THIS SATURDAY – REGION 25 UIL MARCHING CONTEST

Parents, clear your schedule and be our cheering section at Mesquite Memorial Stadium.

TICKET PRICE: $5 per person. Children under 6 are free. Cash is preferred; however, cards are accepted.

  • THERE IS A CLEAR BAG POLICY IN PLACE for spectators.


SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY

1:00PM Band Hall opens

2:00PM Rehearsal in bibbers & shako

3:45PM Load Trailers

4:00PM Eat - Chick Fil-A

All percussion equipment and tubas will load at the stadium. All other instruments will be taken by individuals in a personal vehicle or bus.

4:45PM Inspection in your meeting rooms, then load your transportation - TRANSPORTATION SPREADSHEET IS BELOW. THIS CANNOT CHANGE ON SATURDAY.

  • TWB Mask or Gaiter
  • Full uniform (jacket/pants/gauntlets/gloves/shako)
  • Hat box
  • Long Black Socks
  • Marching Shoes (cleaned)
  • Instrument (cleaned)

5:00PM Depart Wylie HS

6:15PM Arrive at Mesquite Memorial Stadium

6:30PM Meet at Band Trailer to make the block. We will get water and march quietly to warmup.

7:00PM Warm Up - NORTH

7:30PM Leave Warm Up

7:44PM Enter the field

7:50PM Performance

8:05PM Meet at Trailer to return plumes, regroup for announcements, load and return to Wylie HS to return uniform and unload equipment.

9:45PM Announcement of advancing bands. You will be texted on the Band App

ALL students will go back to WHS to put uniform away & unload equipment.

TRANSPORTATION SPREADSHEET
ALPHA ORDER results from the survey on how you are getting to and from the AREA CONTEST. This includes your bus number and seat if you are riding the bus.

PARKING / MEETING MAP

See the map below. It has the following that you need to know.
  • Parking for students/ buses/ spectators.
  • Meeting area (6:15PM) - We will meet at the Big TWB trailer on the visitor side of the stadium.
  • You will be in FULL uniform with Instrument. PLUMES and WATER will be given out at the trailer as we leave for warm up
  • You will put plumes away back at the trailer as you come off the field.
  • We will get organized and check that all equipment is placed correctly before dismissing to return to WHS.

  • TICKET PRICE IS $5.00 PER PERSON, NO CHARGE FOR AGE 6 AND UNDER.
  • CASH PAYMENT IS PREFERRED, BUT CREDIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED (VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, DEBIT CARDS)
