2024 PAGE PROGRAM APPLICATION & INFORMATION
Each legislative session, high school students from across South Dakota have an opportunity for a firsthand look at the legislative process by serving as pages for the South Dakota Legislature. Pages are appointed to serve in the House of Representatives or the Senate for four to nine days during one of the five term periods.
The page program is a competitive program, so early application is encouraged. The preferred deadline is October 6, 2023 and the final deadline is October 20, 2023.
Application is made through a sponsoring legislator or legislator-elect. Talk to a legislator or legislator-elect and ask for the privilege of them sponsoring you. Not sure who to approach as a sponsor? Any current legislator or legislator-elect can sponsor a page. Click on Find My Legislators to find the legislators in your district; however, a sponsoring legislator may be from any South Dakota district. Find My Legislators
The President Pro Tempore of the Senate selects the pages who will serve in the Senate. The Speaker of the House of Representatives selects the pages who will serve in the House. In early December, you will be notified by the Page Advisor regarding the disposition of your application.

LEO CLUB LEADERSHIP, EXPERIENCE, OPPORTUNITY
Members of Leo clubs embody the best qualities of our incredible organization. They are devoted young people who realize the power of action. Together, Leos and Lions form a powerful partnership — one of mutual respect where Lions learn from the innovative insights of Leos and where Leos gain access to the proven strategies of those who’ve successfully served the world for decades. This is for those 12-18, as once you turn 18, you qualify for the Lions club. “Leadership, Experience, Opportunity.”
There are a lot of ways people can give back to their community — but being a Leo is much more than just service. Choosing Leo clubs will help you grow as an individual and as a leader as you join a global family of young people making the world a better place
Leos have many leadership opportunities, including the ability to serve as Leo officers in their club, district and multiple districts through annual elections. Lions International offers resources for Leos looking to grow their impact as a project organizer, motivator and leader of their peers.
In order for us to start a Leo's club, we need at least 5 individuals interested. The requirements are: Age 12-18; Parents Permission AND A Want To Help Your Community
This is a chance to serve your community. If you are looking for community service opportunities, this would be a great place to start. There are many opportunities offered by becoming a Leo, such as scholarships and camps.
