December Highlights and Important Updates
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with warmth, gratitude, and time with loved ones. As we turn the page to December, there is much to look forward to at Franklin Middle!
This month brings excitement with our annual Fun Fest and the always-creative door decorating contest, which are sure to spread cheer throughout the building. At the same time, our focus remains on ensuring safety and maintaining high-quality instruction for all students.
We are thrilled about our upcoming holiday concerts, where our talented musicians will showcase their hard work and dedication. Meanwhile, our musical cast continues to rehearse and prepare for what promises to be a fantastic production.
As we approach the new year, I want to remind families to review the updated district calendar, which includes important changes that will impact the end of the year. Please note that final exams are scheduled for the last four school days of June (June 23-26).
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Let’s make this December a joyful and productive month for everyone!
Morning Drop-Off Safety Reminder:
As we enter the winter months and deal with challenging weather, I want to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of following our morning drop-off procedures to ensure safety and efficiency for all.
When dropping off your child, please remember that our drop-off zone is a "drop-and-go" area. To help maintain a smooth traffic flow:
- Once your child exits the vehicle, please pull forward past the stop sign if you need to check your phone or take care of anything else.
- Avoid remaining parked in the drop-off lane, as it can cause traffic backups and unsafe conditions with cars needing to maneuver around stopped vehicles.
Your cooperation helps keep everyone safe and ensures that drop-off is a quick and stress-free experience for all families.
Thank you for helping us prioritize safety and make mornings easier for everyone. We appreciate your understanding and partnership!
Grade 7 Moving Up Ceremony
Grade 7 families—stay tuned for the announcement of the date for our Moving Up Ceremony, a special milestone we are excited to celebrate with you.
5th Grade Dance
A big thank you to the PTA and the parents and staff that volunteered to make the 5th-grade dance such a success! Your support and enthusiasm made it a memorable evening for our 5ht graders who experienced their first dance.
Thanksgiving Feast
Thanksgiving came early at Franklin Middle School as Ms. Shiesley's classroom (with the help of Mrs. Rogers) shared a Thanksgiving feast! During the meal, each student shared what they are thankful for. What a great way to come together and celebrate!
Good Luck, Mr. Stawisuck: Representing FMS on the World Stage!
