Drop off/Dismissal
First bell rings at 8:15 am
Class begins at 8:20 am
Dismissal will begin at 3:50 pm
Drop off Information:
Busses will be dropped off in the front of the school in our bus lane.
Parents will drop off students in the back of the school in our parent line. Morning drop off will be a single line that will enter the Northwest entrance and pull through the back of the building. This line will exit the Northeast exit.
Staff will be there to greet students and help them find their way into the cafeteria for breakfast or their designated area. We ask that you please stay in your car as you drop your student off. Please do not go around other cars in line to avoid safety concerns.
Pick up Information:
Busses will pick up students in the front of the building in our bus lane. The bus lane will be closed to through traffic between 3:30 - 4:00 to allow our busses to safely load all of our students.
Parents will pick up all other students in the back of the building in our parent pick up line. Parents will use the turn lane at the Northwest entrance to enter the parent pick up line. Staff will guide you into a double line as they communicate your student's name to our designated student waiting section. Once all cars are stopped, students will be free to walk to their cars. Once all cars have been loaded safely, parents will be free to pull forward. The outer line will exit to the Northeast exit and the inward line will exit to the south out the front parking lot through the Southeast exit. A map of parent pick up is provided TRAFFIC FLOW MAP.
*On the first day of school, your student will bring home a name tag to be placed on the dashboard of your vehicle. We are happy to provide additional name tags if you will be using multiple vehicles. This will help our staff identify parents/guardians as they are pulling through to pick up their student. Please be patient on the first few days as we will have to ask for the name of your student.
*All students will be bus riders or car riders. There will be no walking/biking to or from the Intermediate campus or parent walk up.
Early Pick Up:
If you have to pick up your child early from school, we ask that you park in the front parking lot and come in through the front office. We ask that you try and pick up your students prior to 3:30 pm if at all possible when picking up early to avoid confusion with dismissal.
Visiting our Campus
All visitors remaining on campus or signing out a student must present their DL. Your DL will be scanned to create a visitor tag to be worn for the remainder of your time on campus. Please exit the building through the front office to be signed out.
Cafeteria
You can add money to your student's account at MySchoolBucks
Microwaves will not be available the first few weeks of school. We will push out when they are available.
You are welcome to join your student for lunch on occasion, but we ask that you wait until after the first 6 weeks for us to get our routines established.
Lunch Times
4th Grade: 11:35am - 12:05pm
5th Grade: 12:05pm - 12:35pm
6th Grade: 12:20pm - 12:50pm
Other Important Information
Cubbies: Students will have access to cubbies in their classrooms to store backpacks and personal items.
PE: Students will have PE every day. They will need to wear tennis shoes in order to participate.
Electronic Devices: Student electronic devices (phones, smart watches, air pods, tablets, etc.) are to remain turned off while at school. Our district policy regarding electronic devices can be found below in our Student Handbook tab.
Schedule changes for 6th graders: We will attempt to grant schedule changes for the first 2 weeks of school. Your student will need to contact Mrs. Winter, our counselor, for information regarding schedules.
Bus Transportation: All transportation questions need to go through our District Transportation Director, Dustin Todd. dtodd@jimned.esc14.net
