8th Grade Promotion and End of the Year Events
The 8th-grade promotion ceremony and activities are essential events at Walsh. As such, the promotion ceremony and end-of-year activities are designed to honor all students and celebrate the year. Students must meet minimum requirements to fully participate in all the activities available to our 8th graders. Based on existing Walsh expectations and the FPS Code Of Character, these expectations outline the minimum academic, attendance, and behavior requirements needed to participate in these activities. Eighth graders who cannot meet these minimum requirements risk losing the privilege of participating in one or more of the following activities:
8th Grade Promotion
Our 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony is scheduled for the evening of Monday, June 17th from 5:30 - 6:30PM. This is an outdoor event at Walsh so that more family members are able to attend.
More information will follow in the coming weeks.
Six Flags Important Information
Six Flags New England
The Six Flags field trip will be on Thursday, June 13th. Student will leave from school around 8:45 AM and return to Walsh around 3:30 PM. Students will need to be picked up at Walsh. The cost is $38. Permission slips went home last this week.
If a student has a Season Pass to Six Flags that can be used instead of paying the $38. Please let Mr. Johnson by Tuesday, May 21st.
Six Flags is a cashless park, meaning that if students bring cash they will need to exchange that in the Kiosks available in the park. Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted.
8th Grade Cook Out
The 8th Grade Cook out will be Tuesday, June 11th from 5:30 - 7:00 PM
8th Grade Yearbooks
All 8th grade students will receive a NO COST yearbook. 8th grade parents do NOT need to order one unless you want to customize it. They will be given to the 8th grade students during the last few days of school. We are able to do this because of past 3 on 3 fundraising.
Student Civic Project
We are reaching out to address a pressing concern regarding the vandalism of our school's bathrooms, particularly the frequent incidents in the Walsh bathrooms.
We understand the impact this issue has on our students' safety and comfort, as well as the hindrance it poses to their ability to utilize these essential facilities. It is imperative that we work together to ensure a clean and safe environment for all our students.
To address this matter effectively, we kindly ask for your assistance in spreading awareness about the importance of respecting school property and maintaining cleanliness in our facilities. Encouraging open discussions with your children about the consequences of vandalism and the importance of treating public spaces with care can greatly contribute to fostering a sense of responsibility among our student body.
Additionally, if you or your child witnesses any incidents of vandalism or suspicious activity in the bathrooms, please report it to school authorities immediately. With your vigilance and support, we can work towards preventing further damage and creating a more positive environment for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Together, we can make a difference in ensuring that our school's bathrooms remain clean, safe, and accessible for all students.

Mandatory Student ID Cards
We hope this message finds you well. As we continue to prioritize the safety and security of our students and staff, we would like to remind you of an important requirement for all students.
Mandatory Student ID Cards
To ensure a safe and secure environment within our school, it is mandatory for all students and staff to wear their Student ID cards at all times while on the school premises. This is an essential part of our safety measures, allowing us to easily identify students and personnel.
We kindly request your cooperation in ensuring that your child has their Student ID card with them when coming to school. This small but vital card should be carried with them at all times. If your child has lost their ID card, please contact the school's Office Manager, Tracey Suprena to request a replacement.
By adhering to this requirement, we can maintain a safe and efficient school environment, which ultimately benefits all students. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your understanding and support in our efforts to prioritize the safety and well-being of our school community. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Cell Phone, Earbuds, and Chromebook Use
Please remind your student that their cellphone and earbuds need to be put in their backpacks during the day. They should not be used in the halls, cafeteria, or at recess. Also, please remind them to charge and remember to bring in their Chromebooks to school. Thank you for your help.
