Pre-UIL Contest will take place throughout the day on March 21 and March 22. This is a required event for ALL students and will take place at Sugarland Methodist Church. Transportation is provided for the event. All students will need to bring their formal uniform (tuxedos and dresses) to school on they day they perform and will change before we leave. Because all choirs will be traveling with me each day, PARENT HELP will be needed and greatly appreciated. If you are able to help chaperone and sit with students and walk through the process with us, please reach send me an email when convenient. WE STILL NEED PARENT HELP FOR TREBLE CHOIR AND TENOR BASS CHOIR ON 3/21. Please email me if you are able to help.

Pre-UIL Parent Preview CONCERT will take place on March 21st at 7 pm. Call time is 6:15 pm. Formal uniforms required (Dress and Tuxedos). I do apologize that this overlaps and puts a lot of events in a very short amount of time, however, this calendar was decided before I arrived at Travis so I appreciate everyone's flexibility.

UIL Concert & Sight Reading is one of the highlights of our performance calendar. This is a highly prestigious evaluation that takes place for every program across the state and is widely respected across the country. UIL Contest this year takes place April 2-4. Each choir will only perform once over the three days. To avoid confusion, I will send the schedule in next week's newsletter so arrangements can be made if needed.

Varsity Treble Rehearsals:

This announcement only applies to Sopranos and Altos in Chorale. This is a reminder of the remaining rehearsals for our Varsity Treble Ensemble. It is VERY important that all students are present at every rehearsal. The schedule was emailed out in December and only emergencies are considered excused absences. Please ensure your student is aware of the rehearsal schedule and makes arrangements to attend.

EVERYONE: On Monday, March 18th (TOMORROW!) we will be going off campus during class to rehearse at Sugarland Methodist Church. One of our UIL Pieces requires organ accompaniment and in our preparation, it is essential to rehearse with the organ. Students are dismissed from 2nd period at 9:00 am, and will return at the beginning of 4th period.

Graduation for Travis has been announced to take place on Thursday, May 23rd at 7:30 pm at the new Fort Bend Epicenter. This is a required performance for all Chorale students so please be sure to mark your calendars now. Transportation will be provided for students.

Choir fees are now past due but you can still pay in installments via Revtrak. For a description of choir fees, please see the document on the choir website under the "Documents" tab. You can find the RevTrak link below or via the choir website under "Choir Fees." Students need to have their full choir fee paid in order to take their uniform home.

Now that our year is in full-swing, I'd like to again remind parents that in order to volunteer you MUST have the FBISD Background check completed. We will be needing volunteers for social events, trips, and assistance during contests and concerts, so PLEASE consider filling out this form as soon as possible to ensure the district office has time to process it.
