If your child is registered for an afterschool meeting or club such as YLOE, House Leader Meetings, Chorus, Orchestra, Reading Bowl, Afterschool Tutoring, GENTS, etc. PLEASE enter their dismissal plans in Pick Up Patrol! Registering for the club is not a dismissal plan. You can create a default plan or make changes in advance for certain days. Please email jsanangelo@csdecatur.net with any questions.

3. Select Settings.
4. Select Notification Settings.
5. Check the boxes for notifications you want to receive.

You’re invited to the second annual Family Trivia Night fundraiser for the house system next Thursday, September 18th. Get your tickets now!

Each fall semester, the gifted review team looks at existing student data to discuss student needs and whether students may be evaluated for gifted identification. If you are interested in having the team discuss your child’s needs, you may complete a Recommendation for Review Form, found on the Gifted and Talented Services webpage, and return it to the Gifted & Talented Specialist at your child’s school by Wednesday, October 2. No additional information is needed.

The Gifted & Talented Specialists for Talley Street Upper Elementary are Lindsey Combs, Nicole Fiber, and Ashley Forman. Talley Street Upper Elementary Field Day is approaching!

October 11, 2024 - All Grade Levels

We need your help to make field day a success, and the kids love to see you there. There will be a PLAYGROUND/BLACKTOP/GYM segment and a BACK FIELD segment for all grade levels. Students will travel with their homeroom teacher and an assisting teacher, and we just need your help to run the stations.

• Teacher Gift Fund Reminder: The Teacher Gift Fund Collection is under way. Please make your contributions by September 28. Let’s show our teachers how much we appreciate them! Contribute here.

• Volunteer Opportunities: The school year’s events are in full swing, which means there is no shortage of opportunities to help out and see your kids at school (or not :)), or lend us your coolers! We’ve compiled a list of the current signups in one place, we’d appreciate your help! Volunteer here!

• Sponsorships: We are still looking for a few businesses (or families, if you are interested) to sponsor the school this year by making a donation to the PTO prior to October 1. If you know of an interested business please have them reach out to Erin Hinek at copresident@talleypto.org. See more info about sponsoring the school.

• Spirit Night at Bad Daddy’s: Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 18! Enjoy a night out at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, where 15% of your purchase will come back to support Talley.

• Family Trivia Night is next Thursday the 19th. Get your tickets now or at the door. Sign up to volunteer and get free entry!

A Season of Giving is a neighbor-led organization that brings joy to local children and seniors through gift-giving.

For Assistance: To apply for gift assistance, please complete our online application at Apply by October 31st. We are excited to support children through 12th grade again this year.
