Lindley Supports Claxton Elementary in Asheville!

Lindley has adopted Claxton Elementary School in Asheville to support recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. The community does not have water, and school is closed indefinitely. There are two ways you can help!

Send monetary donations using the below link.

Donate books and winter gear for Claxton families and their community. They are requesting cold weather clothing - hats, gloves, socks. There is also a special request for new underwear. Books and any other educational materials are welcomed to keep students engaged - think books, Highlights magazines, puzzles, art/craft supplies, Legos, etc. Plastic bins are at both school entrances to collect donations at drop off and pickup.

Mass Vision Screenings on Tuesday for 1st, 3rd and 5th Grade Students

Mass Vision Screening will take place for 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students on Tuesday, October 22nd. If your student has eyeglasses, please make sure they have them at school for the vision screening. If you receive a vision referral letter for your student, please complete and return to the School Nurse as soon as possible.

2024-25 School Times

7:00 AM: Students may be dropped off and enter the building

7:25 AM: Tardy Bell. Parents must escort their child to the Northridge Office to be signed into school after this time.

1:30 PM No Early Check outs after this time

2:10 PM: Dismissal

Visitor and Volunteer Information

As part of our enhanced security measures, access to the building is limited to students and staff. Families are welcome to walk their child to the entrance of the building on the first day of school. Staff will ensure students arrive at their classrooms from there.

We will provide opportunities for visitors to come into the school at later dates for special events. All visitors to classrooms must be approved in advance by the teacher.
