Annual Parent Perception Survey
Please take a few minutes to take the Annual Parent Perception Survey for Wilson Creek ES. The county monitors this data and provides feedback to the individual schools. We need to have a good percentage of parents respond for our data to be valid...and we do want to know what you think. Please note that only a rating of 9 or 10 is considered to be promoting the school. If you love Wilson Creek, please give us a 9 or 10 on the rating scale!
The survey is anonymous and confidential. Please complete one survey per school where you have one or more students enrolled. The survey will remain open from Wednesday, October 16 through Friday, November 22.
It’s not only parents we want to hear from. Our students’ opinions are important too! Students in grades 3-12 will be provided with the opportunity to take the Annual Student Perception Survey between November 11-November 22 during the school day. In our ongoing efforts to remain transparent with parents, please take a moment to review the 3-5 student survey and/or the 6-12 Student Survey.
The Annual Perception Survey is currently available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Hindi, and Punjabi. If you or your family would like to take it in a language that is not listed, please email your child’s principal.
The parent FAQ is now available in:

Halloween
We know that Halloween is coming up and some of our students will enjoy dressing up and collecting candy. Please remember, we do not allow students to wear costumes on Halloween.
Also, regarding candy, in order to keep everyone safe at school, please do not send any candy, cookies, cupcakes or food to school to share with friends or the class for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas or other winter holidays unless you have gotten permission from the principal.
Talk with your students about keeping themselves safe at school by never eating something given to them by another student or by eating anything that is not in a sealed store-bought wrapper. There can be things in candy and food that we do not know where it came from that can hurt us. Any food or candy brought to school from home will be taken by teachers so we can keep everyone safe here at school.
Remote Learning, Tuesday, November 5
Students will participate in Remote Learning on Tuesday, November 5th. Your child's teacher will send home their work for the day. Please make sure the work is turned in within 2 days of your child's return (aka Thursday, November 7 for most) in order for them to be counted present for the day. Thank you!
Red Ribbon Week -- October 28 - November 1

Digital Citizenship
This month, students will be learning all about digital citizenship during their Media Center classes. Digital citizenship teaches students how to navigate the online world responsibly, safely, and respectfully. As technology becomes an ever-present part of our children's lives, it’s essential for them to understand how to protect their privacy, communicate respectfully, and think critically about the information they encounter online.
Parents play a key role in reinforcing these skills at home. By engaging in conversations about safe internet practices and setting a positive example, you can help your child become a smart and responsible digital citizen. Below, you'll find helpful resources to support your child's learning.
