RMS Wildcat Weekly
October 4, 2019 Information for our Families
Happy Friday!
Our Wildcats enjoyed an awesome Spirit Week and exciting first dance of the year. It was wonderful to see the students having so much fun! Thank you, ASB, for your great organization and planning of these events!
General News:
Band/ Choir: It's Christmas in October! Our annual Band and Choir Poinsettia Fundraiser began October 1st. All proceeds will benefit our award winning Band and Choir programs. Order from your favorite choir or band student or fill out an order form and turn in to the front office. Flowers are delivered the first week of December. Forms available in the front office and linked HERE
Attendance: Attendance is key to student success! Please encourage your student to attend school everyday and arrive on time. Remember, absences must be cleared within 72 hours (3 school days) after student returns to school. We also appreciate when you schedule dental/doctor appointments outside of the school day to avoid instruction interruptions.
Safety Reminder: Parents, please remind your students to use the crosswalk when arriving or leaving school. The heavy traffic makes it unsafe for students because drivers may not see them as they cross the street.
Our award-winning Wildcat yearbook staff is currently taking pre-orders for the 2019-2020 yearbook at 20% off the end-of-the-year price! Support our school by purchasing a yearbook through the front office, our RMS webstore, or www.jostens.com! Click here to see our flyer.
Do you want to really know how school is going? To see your child’s grades in real time, please sign up for Weekly Aeries Progress Reports. Click here to learn how.

On October 25th Cal State San Marcos will be hosting a free 1-day Youth Caregiver Retreat on the CSUSM campus! Youth caregivers are middle-school and high school students who are providing assistance to a sibling, parent or grandparent because of a physical or mental health problem. If your student is interested in attending please email your counselor.
If you notice that your student could use a little extra help, our B.L.A.S.T. (Boost Learning After School Tutoring) is now open! B.L.A.S.T. aims to help students succeed in their classes in a fun and supportive environment after school. There is a maximum of 35 students allowed per classroom, so come on over after school before spots will up! Tutoring takes place 3:15pm - 4:15pm. Click here to take a look at the BLAST schedule.
Roosevelt has 15 clubs that take place during lunch and after school. Most of our clubs are open and students can show up to any meeting. For a list of clubs being offered this year CLICK HERE. If there is a club your student wants to start that we don’t already have, they can come get an application from the counseling office.
