Important Reminders

**International Dot Day will be on Monday, September 16th. Your student may wear polka dotted clothes to school that day. During the day, your child will enjoy the book, The Dot, listen to the Dot song, and paticipate in other classroom activities to recognize this unique day.

** On September 23rd, students will have a holiday due to a professional learning day for the teachers and staff.

** Friday, September 27th, Pre-K will have the Teddy Bear Picnic during Pre-K lunch time from 10:25-10:55. Your child may bring a teddy bear or stuffed animal for the picnic lunch. You are welcome to attend this fun lunch time event with your child. This will be held on the west side of Bransford at the picnic tables under the covered pavilion. Table space is limited so bring a towel or blanket in case you sit on the ground. All guests do need to Raptor in at the front office and must prominently wear their visitor badge.

** Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions throughout the school year.

* SHOW AND TELL - Friday, September 13th, your child can bring something to share for show and tell that starts with the letter M.

* Focus Vocabulary - emotions, feelings

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

When turning into the school parking lot from north bound Bransford Rd. only the right lane may turn onto school property. The left lane of northbound Bransford Rd, is straight only.
Southbound Bransford Rd. must use the left turn lane to turn enter the drop off/pick up line.
Remember to pull forward as far as you can before dropping off or receiving your Texan. Do not stop in front of the student's door to drop off. Staff members will ensure your child safely enters the building.
The lane closest to the building (blue side) must turn right on Glade when exiting.
The lane furthest from the building (red side) must turn left on Glade when exiting.
You may not change lanes once you have entered the drop off/pick up line.
Parents are not able to walk students into the building due to safety and health protocols.
Plan to use our drop off and pick up lines. If your child cannot exit the car without assistance, please park and walk your child to the "Hug Zone." A staff member will greet your student and walk them to the school.
Parents must display their green car sign in the windshield when picking up students. Please keep the sign displayed until until your child is in your vehicle.

Snacks/ Water/ Bottles/ Lunches

Please send 2 "dry" snacks daily. Since everyone has a day when they may forget, we would love donations for the class...Goldfish, animal crackers, pretzels work great (no snacks can contain any type of nut). Any donations are appreciated! Please send a spill/leak proof bottle for water only with your students name on it.

Students may bring a lunch from home or get a hot lunch from the cafeteria. You may out more information about cafeteria lunches by using the following link.

Backpack/ Extra Clothes/ Supplies

All students will need to bring a full sized backpack daily. Please make sure you have a full set of clothes (including socks) in the backpack in case of accidents/spills. Make sure your child's name is on everything.

School supplies are provided for the PK classroom, so there is no need to send any extra.

Tennis Shoes/Clothing

Please send your child to school in tennis shoes EVERY day! We will be having both playground time and PE daily. Students are required to wear tennis shoes for PE participation. Thank you for your help with this! We want our students to be comfortable and wearing safe, appropriate shoes for physical activities. :)

Keep in mind we have lots of playtime outside and do messy art projects, so keep that in mind when choosing school outfits. We recommend that special accessories like umbrellas, rain boots, hats, scarves, mittens, etc. be kept at home as they are often lost at school.

Take Home Folder

** Please have your child bring their folder to school every day.

** Each folder has a calendar stapled in it. Any behavior concerns that happen will be addressed on the calendar. Please initial the square if you see a behavior was noted.
