She works hard every day doing her best and consistently follows the rules of the classroom and school. Autumn goes out of her way to be helpful and shows kindness to everyone. When she attends extracurricular events, she is always respectful and offers assistance when she sees a possible need. 6th Grade Fire Safety
In early October, the Kindergarten and Sixth grade classes at SC attended fire safety presentations at the Fire Hall in Forman. 6th graders got a chance to use a fire extinguisher and try on gear. They also watched a demonstration of how to handle a grease fire. Each 6th-grade student received a fire alarm and a fire blanket. Thanks to the local Fire Departments!
Manufacturing Day
Sargent Central Juniors & Seniors recently attended Manufacturing Day at the Bobcat Facility in Gwinner, where they toured the factory and learned about the manufacturing process. The event aimed to spark interest in engineering and production, showing students the technology on the factory floor. The day's highlight was a hands-on Bobcat Lego activity, where students worked in teams to build miniature Bobcat machines, learning teamwork, problem-solving, and engineering principles. The best part was the winning team(s) won a Lego set!
College Application Month
College Application Month (CAM) is part of a national initiative known as the American College Application Campaign. The American Council on Education started this program in 2005. When seniors apply to a North Dakota college during their school’s event, the Bank of North Dakota pays one $35 application fee per student.
The Seniors also started working on scholarships during this time.
