Madison High School Updates
Week of January 6th, 2025
A Message From Mrs. Thomas
Happy New Year!
I hope each of you had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday break! As we look to the upcoming year, our district has established a goal, a New Year's Resolution, to improve student attendance! In order for our students to be successful, they must be present! Did you know that students who miss 2 or more days a month are considered chronically absent? By definition, Chronic Absenteeism is when a student misses 10% or more of the school year. This includes both excused and unexcused absences. In the coming weeks, we will be increasing our efforts to educate our students on the importance of good attendance and the impact strong attendance has on academic performance and employability.
We are looking forward to great things in 2025!
