Hello Woodsy Owls,
We are excited to be starting 2nd trimester, and the first trimester report cards come out soon. Please feel free to reach out to your teacher if you need any explanation of any of the marks on the report card. Our report cards are Standards Based. Traditional grading often measures many different factors such as homework, extra credit, attendance, behavior, etc....and sometimes compares how well students do in relation to their classmates. Standards-based grading measures how well an individual student is doing in relation to each grade-level standard or skill. This is a great tool for you as a parent to utilize and know more about strengths and weaknesses your child has within specific grade level standards. As always, if you need any clarification or explanation, please use ParentSquare to reach-out.
Thank-you to the Carlson Family for the wonderful donation of Soccer Balls. Now we can actually have a funeral for that old ball we had been using. Donations you can make are ALWAYS appreciated. Also here, https://a.co/1mwCKnK , is a link to our wish list on Amazon. Thank-you for your generosity.
It truly takes a village.
Have a great day!
Principal Pattiey

Sierra Hills Elementary School November Menus
Please remember to let your little know what is on the menu. Sometimes, they change their mind when they get to school and find out that they really love or don't really like what the daily offering is.
As always, in California these meals are free to all students.
