Love on Your Back
The non profit Love On Your Back supports students and families within the Bonsall Unified School District. We provide food and essential items to many families in need within our community.
Our organization must now buy most of our items in the retail market. Prices continue to skyrocket, and the local foodbank has cut back on available staples. To continue to feed our kids, we need donations to purchase food for our program. If you would like to donate, please Venmo or send a check …..Anything will help and is very much appreciated!
WITHOUT YOU WE ARE NOTHING!

News from the Library
Please check your homes and student's backpacks for books that need to be returned to the library! Bills will start going home for those students who have missing or overdue library books.
Office and School Etiquette and Safety
We love and appreciate our parents and visitors that enter our campus each day and greatly appreciate each person that volunteers to support our school. You are always welcome on our campus. More recently, it has been brought to my attention by staff, teachers, and observed by me that volunteers are not always in the designated location that is noted in our Raptor system when they check into the office.
We are not only a school, but also a place of business. Information is shared throughout the day in our office, and other areas of the school, about students that could be sensitive and we as a school are held by law to protect that information. We are also a large campus that has a lot going on every second of the day. Our front office staff is often the first point of contact for an emergency. They are expected to be aware of all visitors entering the campus, answer the phones in a timely manner, and be available for students who enter the office. I ask that you please refrain from lingering in the office so that the office staff can attend to their important job of supporting our school. If you are checking your student out of the office, please wait outside the office doors for your student to ensure other student's privacy.
When volunteering on campus, you are required to state the location where you are volunteering when you check in. Please make sure that you are not entering other classrooms or locations on campus other than the one stated on your sticker when you check in with our Raptor system. This is disruptive to student learning and teacher instruction. Please also refrain from eating lunch with your child when you are checked in as a volunteer.
On behalf of our staff, thank you for adhering to these expectations in order to promote safety and support student learning.

May Spirit Days
Counseling Corner with Ms. Newman
I hope everything is going well and everyone is having a great week! This week I wanted to talk about the importance of learning throughout the summer. It is important to take a break when needed, but it is also important to practice any skills that might be difficult. Examples of this could be reading, writing and math problems. The more practice someone gets the more it stays in your brain. It also sets students up for success next school year that are struggling in a specific subject.
