Meridian High School had their first successful pep rally in the elementary gym. The theme for the pep rally was to "Demolish the Eagles." All of the students at MISD were able to participate in the pep rally festivities.
The Varsity football team competed recently against Bruceville-Eddy. The boys had a strong beginning performance. We are looking forward to a great football year.
This from Coach L Schur:
"After having a tough day on Thursday, our girls really responded well on Saturday. We started the day Saturday playing 4A Fort Worth Castleberry. Even though we ultimately lost 15-25 and 15-25, I was very proud of how well the girls worked together and played some very good volleyball. Our second match of the day was against Rio Vista JV. Our girls started with our foot on the gas from the get go and came out victorious! I truly couldn’t be more proud of how hard they worked together and fought to win that game. We rounded out the day playing in the Consolation Championship against Hillsboro JV. We struggled to get going in this match and unfortunately, it was too little, too late."
