Happy New Year!
Welcome Back! I hope your winter break included lots of fun and great times with your family. It always amazes me how much our students mature when they return to school in January. Our students have come back focused, engaged, and ready to learn.
We are looking forward to the second semester. We experienced great success the first half of the year and are ready to finish the year strong. Please make sure to mark your calendars for the events we have each month. You can find this information in the newsletter and on the calendar that's on the Partee ES website.

Partee's Administrative Team Updates
Ms. Barnes has now transitioned into her new role as Title I Coordinator for GCPS. Please help me welcome Ms. Raina Brown to Partee. Ms. Brown has joined our administrative team and will be with us to end of the school year. Ms. Brown retired from GCPS as an Assistant Principal, and will be at Partee three days a week. We have made a few adjustments to the grade levels that we support. Please see those updates below.
Jennifer Clowers - Principal
Aquanda Barber, Assistant Principal - K, 2, 5 and Special Education
Branddon Benson, Assistant Principal - 1, 3, 4 and Special Areas
Raina Brown, Part-Time Assistant Principal
Welcome Ms. Raina Brown
Good Day Partee Community,
My name is Raina Brown. I am excited to join the Partee Elementary staff as an Assistant Principal for the remainder of the school year. I retired from GCPS after twenty-five years serving students as a teacher and administrator. I have been in education for thirty-three years in elementary and middle school levels. Throughout my career, I have been engaged with the curriculum, instruction, and assessment of students at various levels and languages.
As I work with the Partee Elementary staff, I look forward to continuing Partee’s mission of pursuing academic rigor through excellence in education. I enjoy the challenge of the rigor of instruction and providing strategies to students and teachers with goals for measurable results.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve in the Partee Community. However I can support, I will do my best.
Respectfully,
Raina Brown

Attendance
- As a reminder, please send in attendance/doctors notes when your child is absent or tardy.
- Students who are on time to school and actively engaged in instructional activities greatly increase their knowledge, skills, and learning in general.
- It is my belief that students who are consistently tardy or absent miss out on teacher directions for morning activities, school wide morning announcements, and overall, lose valuable instructional time. Instructional time is needed to acquire skills in reading, math, spelling, writing, social studies, or science.
Child Lure Lesson
- Parents, our counselors will deliver to the students the child lures lesson: "Think First & Stay Safeâ„¢ in the months of January and February. Please review the child lure parent letter that was sent home before the December break.

Welcome back, Generals!
We are ready to begin 2025 with some great reads but there are still many outstanding overdue library books. We need your help to recover them!
Here are some helpful tips for school library books:
Ask your child's teacher or Mrs. Espinoza when their scheduled library day is.
Keep a designated spot for library books or always return them to your child's book bag.
View what books your student has borrowed via Parent Vue.
If books are completely and utterly lost, the replacement fee is $5. If a book is found after payment, a refund will be issued. We appreciate your efforts to keep books in circulation and in the hands of our students!
