Conference Links for Sign Ups
Family-Student-Teacher Conferences take place March 4-5th from 4pm-7:45pm and March 6th from 8am-4pm. In this document, please click on the sign up genius link(s) of the teachers your child(ren) has to schedule your conference(s). Students need to attend their conference with you! They will be presenting portfolios of learning and sharing their learning for the first quarter. If you have questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
Lost and Found
With Colorado weather the temps change every day. Our lost and found is FULL of winter coats from last week being so nice. Remember it is still winter and you do not want to purchase a new winter coat for your student because they lost it. Please come by during conferences and pick up those lost items from the breezeway. ALL ITEMS WILL BE PACKED UP AND DONATED ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON AT 4PM. It is sad the amount we donate because no one picks up their lost items.
Bison Summer Kick Off Volunteers
Families, our PTCO needs your help! Our amazing PTCO is organizing a Bison Summer Kick Off event on May 9th. In order for this event to take place, they need YOU! They are seeking volunteers to help with set up, supervising games, and break down. Please take a moment to read this letter from the PTCO that includes a volunteer sign up link. Thank you for supporting our PTCO in ending the year strong and fun for our whole community!

Annual Family Update
Annual Family Check-In (AFC) is required for ALL current students in Thompson School District. Families are required to have a parent or guardian in the current student’s primary household review and sign permission forms and update (if needed) the student’s household information, emergency contacts, and health information. Annual Family Check-In is located in the Parent Portal Account. Please click here for help on how to accomplish this task.
5210+ Challenge
We hope you and your family participated in the challenge. Please remember to submit your log online by Wednesday, March 5th.
Get 80 or more checks and you'll earn a T-Shirt! Schools with the highest participation percentage can earn prize money. Winners and shirts will be given out in May.
Check out the HPS Gear store!
This will support our HPS Bison Theatre!
Superintendent Search
Dear Thompson School District Stakeholders:
As you may know, the Thompson School District Board of Education has begun searching for our next Superintendent of Schools to follow Dr. Schaffer when he leaves us at the end of the current school year.
The Board has hired McPherson & Jacobson, a national school superintendent search firm, to assist us in finding the most qualified candidates available. As part of this important work, the Board has asked our search consultants to gather information and comments from stakeholders. So we would very much appreciate it if you would take just a couple of minutes to answer a few questions through an anonymous online survey. You can access the superintendent search survey by clicking this link. The survey will remain open through March 12, 2025.
Thank you for your support,
Thompson School District
