Wellness Wednesday
Resources and Information from WHS Counselors
April 22, 2020
Today is Earth Day and this week is National Park Week. As we digest the news that school will remain closed for the remainder of the year, it is natural to have a mix of emotions. All of those emotions are OK. How we manage those emotions and take care of ourselves is so important on any day, but today, even more. Many researchers and mental health professionals suggest that interacting with nature can have a positive impact on our mood and overall well-being. The calming sights and sounds have been found to lower stress and reduce worry. In honor of Earth Day and National Park Week, we've compiled some opportunities for you to experience nature from your couch or lawn chair.
Be well, stay safe, and remember we are available to connect with you,
