Dozier-Libbey Family Newsletter
MARCH 2025

Message from Principal Wilkins
The Antioch Unified School District Board of Education welcomes input as part of the process of selecting the next Superintendent. Please feel free to participate in the online survey which includes the same questions being asked in various stakeholder meetings.
The online survey (available in English, Spanish, Mandarin) can be found here by going to click here and is open until 5:00 p.m. on March 7, 2025.
The stakeholder input responses will be collected and shared with the Board of Education in a report which will be anonymous but will list input by group categories only. This document will be made public at the upcoming Regular Board of Education meeting on March 19, 2025, and will be used to inform the Superintendent recruitment and selection process.
Driving to and from the school may become more challenging if you are traveling along Lone Tree Way, as Costco is expected to open on Friday, March 7th. Please expect to see increased traffic and delays along Lone Tree Way, especially around pick up.
Please plan to leave earlier to drop your DLMHS student off in case there is traffic. Thank you!
As we approach the 4th quarter, please ensure you monitor your student's grades on Aeries, as well as check out our upcoming activities for expectations/eligibility.
Have a great weekend,
Mr. Wilkins, Principal
The Antioch Unified School District will be on Spring from Monday, March 24th - Friday, March 28th. Monday, March 31st is a scheduled emergency make-up day. Since we have not used any any emergency days, we are currently expected to return from break on Tuesday, April 1st (odd day).
💡Attention Families 💡
Student Drop off/pick-up
When dropping off or picking up your scholar, please use the correct lane. The left lane when entering the parking lot is designated as "the through lane". This allows people to continuously drive through to the student parking lot or exit. When a student is dropped off in the through lane, scholars are put in higher danger of being hit or an accident being caused.
When you are dropping off your scholar, please use the right lane designated as the "drop off lane". When dropping your student off, please pull all the way forward on the yellow curb. This allows the flow of traffic to continue, reducing incidents that may cause harm to our scholars or their families.
During pick up, please do not park along the designated merging lane area, as you enter Sand Creek (from Dozier-Libbey Way). The designated area allows space for the two lanes to merge into one.
Please park along the right side of traffic when on Sand Creek to help improve the flow of traffic. Parking on the left side of traffic can place multiple people at risk.
AUSD is committed to supporting families in challenging times!
As we continue this school year, I wanted to take a moment to reaffirm our District's unwavering commitment to the safety, well-being, and educational success of every student who is part of our school community, regardless of their immigration status.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children’s education and safety. Together, we will continue to build a community where every scholar has the opportunity to succeed to their highest potential.
With gratitude, Dr. Robert A. Martinez, EdD. Former Acting Superintendent Antioch Unified School District
