Permission slips will be coming home soon. If the grade level teachers request parent volunteers, you must have your volunteer card to participate. If you are attending the field trip and plan to take your child home from Wonderscope, please send an email to Mrs. Belcher and the classroom teacher prior to the field trip date letting them know your plans.

We need new officers and volunteers for next year. If you are interested, please join us in the school library at 6:00 p.m. on May 7th. PTO helps the school with family activities, as well as field trips, and t-shirts.

• 4th Grade will begin at 5:45 p.m. in the gym. Gym doors will open at 5:30.
• 5th Grade will begin 6:30 p.m. in the gym. Please give time for 4th grade parents time to exit their program and plan to enter the gym at 6:15.

All parents who volunteer to help must be on our volunteer list. If you are not helping, you may come and observe the activities. For everyone's safety, please make sure you sign in and wear your visitor badge.

5th Grade Breakfast will be from 8:15-9:15 on Thursday, May 23rd. More information will be coming home closer to this event.

We will have a schedule of grade level events for you to participate in with your child/children once you arrive. The events will include:

• grade level awards
• yearbook signing
• school memory graffiti wall
• photo booth/games
• sack lunch picnic

Items Needed:

• Small blanket to sit on for the picnic lunch (can send to school with child if not attending)
• Lawn chair for adult to sit in if the weather is nice and we can have it outside
• Adults will need to bring a sack lunch - school lunch will only be provided to students due to the end of the year supply.

This will wrap up our year and you are welcome to sign your child/children out after the picnic.

Requesting a particular teacher is not permitted. We spend a lot of time working on class lists in order to develop the best learning environments possible. We separate students who should not be together due to distractions to learning or personality conflicts, consider learning needs, personality fit of teacher to students, and a mix of all learners. The lists will be reviewed by multiple staff members (teachers, counselor, principal, behavior interventionists, and SPED teachers).

If there are student conflicts that you feel their current teacher may not know about, feel free to email me your concerns by June 1st. Once class lists are posted in August, changes will not be made.
