PI DAY 6TH GRADE CELEBRATION!
This year 6th grade celebrated Pi day on Thursday, March 14th. The 6th graders were involved in a variety of activities to learn about Pi! Students decorated the Pi symbol, made poems about Pi, read about Pi, learned how to find the circumference and diameter of a circle, and recited as many digits of Pi as they could remember. This year's winners included Aaliyah Mazure, memorizing 106 digits of Pi! Our runner up Madeline Perry memorized 76 digits of Pi. Our other winners include Ivy Kennedy, Abby Justus, and Aaliyah Mazure with our Pi artist award, and Kenny Peck estimating the correct number of gumballs in our circular jar. Overall, the 6th grade did a fantastic job learning about Pi. 3.141592…………
