Our District Promise
Every student in the Stanwood-Camano School District is empowered to learn in an inclusive setting and is prepared for the future of their choice.
Principal Message
It has been an eventful week here at Stanwood Middle School! Our leadership students have been actively involved in helping staff develop our PBIS school-wide expectations. They've created some fantastic posters to showcase their work, and a few even helped produce a video that will be shared with students during the first week of school.
I also want to remind you about our Open House on Wednesday, August 28th, from 5:00-7:00 PM. It's a great opportunity for students to walk through their schedules and get familiar with the school before the first day.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!
Best,
Tim Dickinson
Principal

First middle school cheer event!
Spartan Cheer is hosting their first-ever stunt clinic for only middle school students.
The event will culminate with a performance at the first home Spartan football game on Sept. 13!
The clinic will run from 4-6 p.m. Sept. 10 and 12 at Lincoln Hill High School. Learn more about this junior cheer event at https://gofan.co/event/1626931?schoolId=WA23340
This is an ASB event and not a school-sponsored event.
Cell Phones
We understand that many parents provide their children with cell phones for safety. They can, however, become a disruption at school.
Cell phones are viewed by the school as electronic devices and should not be used during the school day without permission from a staff member. As with other electronic devices, if you have a cell phone at school, it should be turned off or switched to silent mode and must be kept in a backpack or pocket the entire time you are at school.
Students who choose to disregard this policy will have their phone temporarily taken by the teacher and a classroom referral will be written. On the third infraction, parent/guardian will be required to pick up the phone. If a student chooses to bring a phone to school, the school is not responsible if the phone becomes missing or stolen.
- If a student needs to contact their parent or guardian for any reason using their cell phone, they will need to come to the school office where they will be allowed to do so.
Student Drop Off and Pick Up
Pick up and drop off is in the east parking lot. Please form a single line once you enter the parking lot. Remember that students will need to enter the building in the morning using the main entrance in the front of the building.
Athletics Information
The 2024-25 Athletic Registration is now open via FinalForms — an online forms and data management service to help streamline athletic registration for student athletes and their families. You can register your Spartan for all seasons of sports now or update throughout the year as needed.
Our first season of sports begins after school on September 3. Girls Soccer is for 7th and 8th graders; Stanwood United is a combined program for 6th-8th graders--students will take the Y bus to Port Susan for practice each day. All students must have a current physical on file in order to participate in sports.

About FinalForms
FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic participation forms for your student(s), upload required documents, and view their clearance/eligibility status. The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, which means you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time.
Click on the Parent Playbook to get started. Please visit https://stanwood-wa.finalforms.com to register and follow the prompts to create your account, add your student(s), and sign your forms. You may review your data at any time to verify it is current. You will be required to sign your forms once per year (parent/guardian AND student) and after any update.
If you need support during registration, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Get Help”, email support@finalforms.com, or reach out directly to your school’s athletic office. If you are unable to register online from home, please visit the office or contact us for further assistance. FinalForms is a wonderful tool for safety, compliance, communication, and so much more!
