Goooooood evening Marlow Families -- What an incredible week we had last week, having students back in the building since Helene. I was inspired by our students and staff, and their response to getting back to learning and the routine of school. It was just AWESOME!

Two notes as it relates to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and Marlow Elementary:

• We are still experiencing issues with our regular phone lines. If you need to contact the school, please use this temporary number (828) 451-8716. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
• Marlow Elementary is still under a 'Boil Water Advisory', so our water fountains and bottle fillers are still taped up. Not to worry - We have plenty of bottled water on site for student and staff use, and everyone has been great adjusting to this temporary challenge.

This week is Pumpkin Lighting Week!!! Our PTO is ecstatic to be able to continue this tradition at Marlow, especially now, bringing our school and community together at a time we so need it.

We are looking forward to a fantastic evening on Thursday! We hope to see everyone there!

We can't wait to see everyone on Thursday! Food, games, hayride and smore's...It will be a lot of fun.

Although there will be no raffle baskets this year, there will be donation buckets out and about, and 100% of donations collected will go towards supporting our Marlow families affected by Hurricane Helene.

Students - Please remember that your Halloween costumes are encouraged, but face masks are not allowed.

Even with the school closure from Helene, the 1st Quarter for all students ended on Tuesday, October 15th.

Q1 Report Cards will be made available through the Parent Portal on Monday, October 28th

The Q1 Honor Roll Ceremony for 3rd-5th graders will be held on Friday, November 1st @ 8:20 in the Gym.

See the flyer below! From now until Oct. 31st, students can bring in new socks (any size, and color) and the will be sent to the Salvation Army of Hendersonville to assist those families affected by Hurricane Helene.

MARLOW FAMILIES - IF YOU MISSED THE SIGN-UP DATE LAST WEEK, YOU CAN GO TO ANY OF THE SITES SCHEDULED FOR THIS WEEK.

All you need to bring is children clothing sizes and wish lists, a valid form of ID, and a last paycheck stub.

Families that have experienced a reduction in their income due to Hurricane Helene may now qualify for Free or reduced price meal benefits.

• This affects those families in non-CEP schools, which includes Glenn Marlow Elementary.
• If they applied this year and were denied benefits, they may call our office with their updated income information. We can enter that information directly into their existing application to see if they now qualify.
• If they have not previously applied for this school year, we highly recommend accessing the online meal benefit application system. https://www.lunchapplication.com/
