Absence Notes

Parent notes following an absence must be received within 5 days of returning to school. Medical notes can be accepted at any time.

If voters approve the November 5 local school funding election, it will generate $7.4 million for staff salary increases and loyalty pay for experienced Magnolia ISD staff. If the election does not pass, the money will not be available for staff salaries or to fund the Loyalty Pay Program.

Applications were sent home yesterday to all 3rd and 4th grade students. If your child is interested, we would love to have them participate in this program! All applications are due to Mrs. Stephens by 9/27.

Breakfast is available to purchase in the cafeteria each morning when students arrive. Breakfast from McDonald's, Chik-Fil-A, the donut shop...should be eaten before arriving at school, please. Carry-in breakfast may not be eaten at school.

The Magnolia ISD Child Nutrition Department would like to help celebrate your child's special day by offering cute and fun treats you can easily purchase for the entire class.

This is the only MISD option for birthday celebrations, snacks or cupcakes cannot be brought from home. Orders should be placed 2 weeks in advance.

• While on campus, electronics (cell phones, tablets, smart watches, etc.) must be turned off and placed in backpacks.
  
• Distracting items such as Pokémon cards, figurines, and toys in general should remain at home.
• Please be sure all personal belongings are labeled with your child's first and last name.
• Don't forget to remind your child to wear tennis shoes on PE days.

Important Reminders

• Students may not bring a friend(s) to the guest table
  

• Due to privacy rights, no video or photography is permitted in the cafeteria

• 5 minutes before the end of lunch, "Focus & Finish" will be announced. At this time all students return to the homeroom table & guests exit the cafeteria.

• Lunch guests are not permitted to walk students to class after lunch

Lunchtimes are as follows:

10:40-11:10 - Kindergarten

11:15-11:45 - 1st grade

11:50-12:20 - PreK & 2nd grade

12:25-12:55 - 3rd grade

1:00-1:30 - 4th grade

* Early morning drop-off time in the cafeteria is 6:30-7:35 am. After 7:35, you will be asked to join the car rider line in the front.

* Doors open at 7:45 am

* Students are tardy at 8:30 am

* School releases at 3:45 pm

* Transportation changes should be made with the front office by 3:00 pm. If your student needs to leave early please also notify the front office by 3:00.
