United We Walk January 19
The oratorical contest for students in grades 6-12 and the button contest for students in grades K-5 are open now! Please save the date for a wonderful, free community event Sunday, January 19. We start at 2 p.m. with the presentation where our oratorical and button contest winners will be honored. We walk at 3 p.m. (inside West Bloomfield Middle School in inclement weather). And we participate in community service and children's activities after the walk. We hope you will join us that day as we keep the spirit of Dr. King alive.
This year we are also collecting food, toiletries and plastic grocery bags to help local families. See the list above. As a district we're asking donations be taken to your school by our WBSD Day of Giving 1/15/25 or brought to the United We Walk event Sunday, 1/19/25.
This year's theme is Continuing the Dream: Building Bridges of Unity.
