Classrooms are buzzing with excitement as we dive deeper into our lessons, and it's wonderful to see the enthusiasm and engagement from our students. Thank you for your continued support in making this a successful school year. We look forward to many more great weeks ahead.
Have a great weekend,

Student Spotlight
Mrs. Angelovic's Class
Last Friday, students in Mrs. Angelovic's class had an exciting hands-on STEM activity, creating colorful paper cubes! They carefully measured, cut, and folded strips of paper, forming the 12 edges of each cube. After the glue dried, these beautiful creations were proudly displayed above their lockers, lining the hallways with vibrant color. Many students and staff stopped to admire the hard work and creativity on display. Be sure to take a look when you come in for parent conferences.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month - Grow Your Library
The Dyslexia Empowerment Plan: A Blueprint for Renewing Your Child's Confidence and Love of Learning
The Dyslexia Empowerment Plan tells you what to do focusing on Dyslexic's strengths like verbal, social, spatial, kinesthetic, visual, mathematical, or musical abilities. Figuring out where their individual strengths lie, and then harnessing these skills, offers an entrée into learning and excelling. And by keeping the focus on learning, not on standard reading the same way everyone else does, a child with dyslexia can and will develop the self-confidence to flourish in the classroom and beyond.
Raising a Child with Dyslexia: What Every Parent Needs to Know
Written from the perspective of someone who grew up with dyslexia and raised a dyslexic child, this book offers a peek into the mind of some with experience. The author lays out a pathway to promoting healthy development in spite of the challenges faced by dyslexics in a whole of neurotypical learners.
Dyslexia Wonders: Understanding the Daily Life of a Dyslexic from a Child's Point of View
Jennifer is struggling through school. Kids tease her, teachers question her ability. Her own family doesn't even understand her.
Listen to her story as she tells it in her own words.
Learn how she struggles from being different from her peers, how she reacted when she finally found out why, and how she overcame the trials dyslexia brought into her life. Parents, teachers, tutors, and family members will benefit from the lessons in this remarkable story.
