𧣠Preparing for Seasonal Appropriate Clothing
As the weather starts to cool off, it's important for families to ensure that your student(s) are dressed in appropriate clothing for the changing temperatures. Wearing layers, including sweaters, jackets, and long pants, can help keep kids comfortable as they go to and from school and during outdoor recess. Additionally, it's a good idea to make sure they have appropriate footwear for potentially wet or slippery conditions. Cleats are not school appropriate footwear.
Based on 'Feels like' temperature:
- 40-50 degrees requires long sleeves
- 40 degrees or less requires a winter jacket
- If a student does not have boots or snow pants, they must remain on the blacktop. No exceptions allowed.
- All students are expected to respect snow rules
β Additional Message from Mrs. Gundersonβ
Please send gym shoes in daily - This way students can change out of snow boots for PE as well as through out the day in their classroom. No one likes to sit on a wet floor for carpet time.
Also, If anyone has gently used gym shoes they would like to donate to the school I would gladly use them in the gym for students to borrow for class time. Thank you!
π 5th & 6th Grade Basketball
The Stevens Point Area Public School District is again sponsoring an after-school basketball program for fifth and sixth-grade boys and girls.

(*5 week program which could extend to 6 weeks if games are canceled due to weather).

π΅ 3-6 Winter Concert
Wednesday, December 11
2:30 - 3:15 PM
Please have your child either dress up that day or bring dress clothes to change into. In order to keep our students safe and comfortable on the risers, we are asking that they not dress too warmly that day - dressing in layers is a good idea. The students have been working hard on their music, and are anxious to share this concert with family and friends. We canβt wait to see you there.
When the concert is finished, all students will exit the gym and return to their classrooms. If you intend to take your student(s) home before the end of the day, Mrs. Demrow will give instructions about doing so at the concert.
We ask that you do not arrive more than 15 minutes early. Please enter through Door 1 across from the flagpole. Since we do not have a parking lot, street parking is the only option -be sure that you are following city parking signage. St. Joseph's Catholic Church kindly asks that you do not park in their lot either.
