Message from Mr. Burns
Hi Wims Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! We had a great time traveling to NY and visiting my family:)
I wanted to thank all our families who participated in our staff PIE Time giveaway. Each staff member was able to take home a pie of their choice. As always, I appreciate your thoughtfulness and support of our staff.
It looks like the cold weather is finally upon us. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather because we do have the students go out most days for recess. Also, please put your child's name on their jackets, hats, etc.... This will help us get the item back to them if left in the lunchroom or at recess.
Have a great week!
-Mr. Burns
Lunch Container Request
For those families who have their child bring lunch in containers, please avoid using glass containers, if possible. We have had a few containers break recently and want to ensure the safety of the students. Thank you for your consideration.

Greetings, Wildcats,
… and welcome, December!
We hope our Wildcat families had a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you to all families who donated pies - we hope they made the staffs’ holiday celebrations just a bit brighter. We are thankful for our Wonderful Wims Staff every day of the year!
It was wonderful to see the APR bursting with senior Wildcats for Grandparents Day. Thank you to all who attended, supported our Book Fair, and volunteered for this event. We would like to recognize our committee chairs, Essence Blackmon and Kelly Din, who worked so hard to make Grandparents Day special.
Thanks to all who supported Spirit Night at Red Robin, the PTA earned $220! Thank you to Kelly Chhean for making the arrangements for our school and to all the families who dined out that night to support our school.
It’s cold outside! Come get cozy in the APR on Wednesday at 6pm for Mr. Burns (& Friends!) Hot Chocolate Read-Along! Children are invited to wear their pajamas and bring a blanket and their favorite stuffy and join us for a special story time with a hot chocolate bar – this event is part of our Fall Book Fair. Please see below for dates and times for the Book Fair.
We look forward to seeing you at the December PTA Meeting, rescheduled for next Tuesday, December 10 at 6:30pm. We need volunteers for Wimsy’s Holiday Shoppe as well as donations for our staff cookie exchange! It’s just heating up at Wims this 2024-25 school year, so be sure to read on and see how you can get involved.
Have a Wonderful Wildcat Week!
