How to Set Up a Canvas Account- for Parents/Guardians
Parents/Guardians can sign up as an observer in Canvas. Observers can link their Canvas account to their student's account so they can see assignment due dates, announcements, and other course content. Observers can view the course content but cannot participate in the course.
Chromebook Information
Dear families,
Many classes use Chromebooks to have students complete assignments or research. In addition, students are required to take any State or district assessments on the computer. It is beneficial for students to have their own Chromebooks to use at school as we have a very limited amount of devices to use in class. If you would like to request a Chromebook for your student you can use the link below.
https://misd.incidentiq.com/guest/G35UC4X5/tell-us-about-your-issue
If it is asking for a username and password, it should be what you use to log into Skyward. If you have questions about the Chromebooks or how to request a Chromebook you will need o call the help desk at 817-299-HELP(4357).
CTIS Families,
Each year we partner with our families to make the school year the most successful possible for each student. Please take a moment to review our School Parent Compact Letter and Parent and Family Engagement Policy. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are excited to have your students with us and to partner with you in making this a great year!
Thank you,
Ali Smith

A Note from the School Nurse
Dear Parents/Guardians:
State law requires that all public schools hold annual health screenings for students. We will be screening students throughout the fall semester on all campuses. Students will be screened for Hearing, Vision, and Acanthosis Nigricans (a visual marker that may indicate possible signs of type 2 diabetes) in grade levels PK, KG 1, 3, 5, 7 and all New to District students. Please ensure that your child is wearing his/her eyeglasses/contacts to school daily.
Female students in grade levels 5 and 7 and males in grade 8 will be screened for Scoliosis (a curvature of the spine). Boys and girls will be screened separately.
If further evaluation by your doctor is needed, parents will be notified in writing. Please note that these screenings do not replace your child’s need for regular health care and check-ups. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your cooperation.
