Message from the Principal

Warm greetings, Fugman families! I hope your summer is brimming with joy and cherished moments with your loved ones. As we eagerly await the start of the new school year, I am thrilled to announce the addition of two new talented educators to our Marlin family. Their arrival promises exciting opportunities and fresh perspectives for our students and staff.

First, please welcome Mrs. Kaylene Durbin, who will join our exceptional special education department as a second RSP teacher. With her expertise and dedication, I have no doubt that she will positively impact our students and staff. Additionally, we are excited to introduce Ms. Landynn Munster, who will be joining our 4th-grade team after three successful years at Century Elementary as a 1st and 3rd-grade teacher. We are thrilled to have her on board.

As we prepare for the upcoming academic year, please take note of the list of teachers and their respective assignments for the 2024/2025 school year below. Class placements will be available online starting August 9th at 4:00 pm after completing the annual update, which opens on July 22nd. Directions on how to access the update are on the flyer below. A Message from Ms. Durbin

“Hello all, I’m Kaylene Durbin and I am so excited to join the Marlin community! This year will be my 4th year teaching Special Education but 1st time in this specific position. My husband, also new to Clovis Unified, will be in his 7th year teaching and we have a 1.5 year old son. In my free time I enjoy being with my family, reading, and drinking iced coffee, especially Dutch Bros! I’m looking forward to meeting you and getting to know one another!”

A Message from Ms. Munster

Hi everyone! My name is Landynn Munster and I am excited to announce that I will be joining the Marlin family as a 4th grade teacher! This will be my fourth-year teaching in Clovis Unified. I taught first grade for two years and third grade for one year. I have heard nothing but amazing things about the staff, kiddos, and families on the Marlin campus, and I am looking forward to meeting all of you! Just a little info about me: I received a full ride to further my academic and athletic career at Fresno Pacific University where I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Sociology, a teaching credential, and a Masters in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education and Coaching. If I'm not coaching basketball or teaching, you can find me hanging out with family and friends or out and about with my crazy, energetic dog, Lyle! I can’t wait for a great school year!
