Tuesday Times from Elm Grove
Principal's Message
Tuesday, September 17, 2024
Dear Eagle Families,
Our leaders continue to work hard and bring their best every day as we make our way through the first 9 weeks of the school year. It’s wonderful to see their dedication and enthusiasm in the classroom! Let's keep up the great momentum as we head into the rest of the fall semester.
Attendance
We had an overall attendance rate of 95.35% last week. A big shout-out goes to our 2nd Graders who had the highest attendance at 97.17%! Week 4 comparison's across the district have Elm Grove Elementary celebrated as 1st overall for most improved attendance. Let's continue to strive for excellent attendance as we move forward into the school year.
PTA Sonic Night
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 18th, because Mrs. Manco and I are ready to take on three brave students in a slushie faceoff at Sonic! Join us between 4-8pm to support our school, but be sure to stop by at 5:30 pm for the ultimate "slush off!" If your student thinks they’re up for the challenge, email fundraising@egepta.org, and we’ll select three challengers. We can’t wait to see who’s got the slushie skills to take us down!

Building Our Legacy
Leader in Me-Habit 1-"I am a responsible person."
Be Proactive!
If you are proactive, you make things happen, instead of waiting for them to happen to you.
Proactive people choose their own way and take responsibility for the results. You are being proactive when you:
- Remain calm.
- Take responsibility.
- Think before acting.
- Focus on solutions.
- Take initiative to make things happen.
- See alternatives, not roadblocks.
- Focus on what you can influence.
You're in Charge: I am a responsible person. I take the initiative. I choose my actions, attitudes, and moods. I do not blame others for my wrong actions. I do the right thing without being asked, even when no one is looking.
EGES Highlight-4th Grade
EGES 4th Grade Students
Our 4th graders are hard at work in their math and language arts classes! Students are actively engaged in group work, with plenty of lively discussions that show their enthusiasm for learning. We’re also seeing some truly impressive writing from our 4th graders. I can't wait to see how far they go this year! Keep up the fantastic work!
