Welcome back to school! We hope everyone has gotten settled into the school-routine! We are so happy to see all our Bears back at school.

For August and September, our PTO goal is to get all our students' party money and family memberships completed for the year. If you haven't done one or both, you can do complete these here.

The Bennett Volunteer Coordinators would like to remind everyone that you need to complete your background check every year. Complete the form on the MISD website here.

When: August 20 from 6:00-6:30pm

Where: Bennett Cafeteria

What: Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is a family and community engagement educational initiative. The kick-off will provide the instructions and answer questions. Kids are welcome to join us, we will have a few treats for them.

Why: To provide positive male role models for all students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

Who: Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for a day or half-day at least once each year at an official WatchDOGS school. At Bennett we allow Watch D.O.G.S. to volunteer one day a semester to ensure everyone who wants to participate can.

How: You must fill out and sign the WatchDOGS Guidelines Acknowledgment form online and complete an MISD background check before signing up for a volunteer time slot

October 2 - Walk to School Day

October 8 - PTO General Meeting - in-person and online

October 18 - Halloween Dance from 6:30 to 8:00 *Date Changed*

October 22 - Spirit Night at Jersey Mike's

October 25 - Bennett Night at MISD Stadium
