An update from the Bremerton School Board

Dear Bremerton Staff, Families, and Community:

Tonight the Bremerton School District Board of Directors voted unanimously to exercise the District’s contractual right to terminate Dr. James Crawford’s contract, effective immediately. This decision was made after careful consideration of the results of the investigation into Dr. Crawford’s network use and his related communications with the Board, and the results of the human resources (HR) inquiry into the BSD work environment under Dr. Crawford’s leadership.

As previously announced, Donna Colosky was hired as interim superintendent for the start of the 2024-25 school year. She will continue in this role through the end of the school year.

The Bremerton School Board remains dedicated to providing a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. We are excited to begin a new school year with the implementation of our new strategic plan and to initiate the important work on our bond program.
