Fall Greetings Davisburg Families!
With the first month of school behind us, it is a great time to reflect on your child’s school attendance. Of course, if your child has a fever, or other symptoms that will make them unable to attend to learning, keep them home. However, headaches, stomach aches or being tired are often not reasons to stay home. Did you know that missing 2 days of school each month can lead to students falling behind and struggling to learn? If you need support with getting your child to school, or assistance with other resources, please contact the office.
Parent/Teacher conferences are quickly approaching. Please watch for information from your child’s teacher regarding how to sign up for a conference. This is a vital piece of our partnership in the education of your child. We look forward to meeting with you!
It’s hard to believe we are already at the end of September! It’s been awesome to see so many smiling faces everyday. This is the start of a great year!
Truly,
Denise Kott

Leader in Me
The Leader in Me Section: Be Proactive
Do you know what it means to be proactive? Being proactive includes being responsible, resourceful and showing initiative. It also means that rather than just accepting the way things are, you are in charge of yourself. You have choices and are accountable for your own happiness and success. We have been talking with students about “choosing their own weather” and using “proactive language.” Be sure to ask your child what they are learning about the Leader and Me and Habit 1.
