SMS & SHS Parents: Please Volunteer

Hello SMS and SHS Parents!

As we have mentioned over the course of the last year, a small (but mighty!) group of SMS and SHS parents led by Ancy Samuel is in the process of creating a combined PTA for the SMS & SHS campuses. The work is ongoing - everything from completing bylaws, to filing with the state PTA for a charter, to assessing the needs of the campuses is currently in process.

Just a Quick Reminder...

This group will function independently for the SMS and SHS campuses and will not be a part of the SES and SIS PTA. While the boards will work in a parallel fashion on large district events and projects such as Homecoming, the SMS / SHS PTA Board will function specifically for the secondary campuses.

The work of the PTA is critical to the success of our students, teachers and families and it is our hope that this new organization will grow and flourish, becoming a strong tradition in Sunnyvale ISD.

It’s important that our SMS and SHS campuses are represented effectively by a full PTA board who can obtain volunteers, resources, contributions, and coordinate activities that are related to those campuses.

This is why we need YOUR support to accomplish this - your help as a volunteer on this board is very much needed at this time.

The rewards for this work are endless: time spent with your Raider’s teachers and administrators and helping our SMS and SHS campuses (teachers, students and administrators) feel loved, appreciated and supported.
