Extra Curriculars & Adventures at Barr
Violet Day
Thank you to all students and staff who really rocked Violet's Day at Barr MS. A special thank you to Mrs. Taylor, the student council and Dr. Restiano's family for teaching us more about people who have down syndrome and for sharing your beautiful daughter, Violet. She always brings a smile to our faces.
Awards & Recognition
JCK Foundation Visit
Grade 7 students were visited by the JCK Foundation this month to recognize the importance of speaking about mental health. Through their program, the JCK aims to cultivate an environment where students feel valued, accepted, and motivated to make a positive impact on their own wellness and that of their peers. They worked hand-in-hand with our grade 7 student to share their personal struggles with mental health as well as stories of hope and resilience. Students reflected and shared out on tough questions and were provided with tools and strategies to have conversations with their peers about mental health.
Scheduling Season
Mr. Arena and Mrs. Heim (Barr's Guidance Counselors) discuss scheduling for the upcoming 25-26 year. These two never rest!
