Dear Parents,
It seems like we have much to be thankful for, as November approaches this year. We are thankful each day that we are able to spend time with your children and be a part of their lives. We appreciate all of our ESS families and feel fortunate that you have chosen us to be in your child’s life.
Cell Phone & Smart Watch Reminders
ESS is a cell phone and smart watch free zone.
Please ensure that all phone conversations are conducted outside the ESS building.
Parents need to be available during this time so staff can communicate any celebrations, concerns, or incidents during the day.
Additionally, ESS follows the same rules for cell phone and smart watch usage as the school site, so students should not use cell phones or smart watches while at ESS. Please do not text your child before you arrive at ESS to start packing up, as it is a safety concern since the staff member has not been informed by the admin that your child is going home. Thanks for prioritizing the safety and smooth operation of ESS.
It's Dark Out:
Please remind your child about Day Light Savings Time. Children have a hard time understanding the concept, and begin to panic when they see that it is dark and their parents have not picked them up yet. Reassure them that you have not forgotten them and will pick them up at the regular time.
SNEEZING, COUGHING, ACHING, FEVER, STUFFY HEAD & SORE THROAT
Does this sound familiar? If the answer is yes, please do not send your child to school or ESS. We know that it isn’t always easy to miss work when your children are ill, but when you send them to school and ESS, the germs keep spreading and usually return to where they started. If we all take precautions, we will all be able to stay healthier this year. Thank you for your cooperation.
Where's My Jacket or Water Bottle?
As it is finally getting colder outside, please LABEL your child’s winter belongings (jacket, sweatshirts, umbrellas, etc.) and water bottles. The staff is not responsible for your child’s belongings.
ESS Amazon Wishlist
Some of you may have noticed on the parent board that we now have an Amazon Wish List QR Code. Check out what students and staff need or click on the button below. We appreciate any support.
