The Measure of a Good Year
We each collect memories, data, and information which we tally at the end of the school year to see how good, great, or not so great the year was.
I collect all of those things to know how good, great, or not so great the library is. Last year was a good year, but I think that this year can be even better.
We have a small but developing community of readers. September 2017, Fifty-eight books were checked out. September 2018, one hundred and twenty-one books have been checked out.
Bring your classes to the library to collaborate. I am here to help you and to help them. Sometimes it is nice to have another adult to answer questions. If the question is should this be cited? My answer is always “yes.” The printers and art supplies are here too.
The library is constantly trying to stay current with your needs and your student's needs. A class was down to check out books early in the school year and there was a request for sports biographies. I am currently looking for interesting and up to date books on sports stars. They were amused that the bio of Lebron James was from his first run with Cavs. I have ordered a new Lebron book which should be here soon.
I look forward to seeing you and your classes.
