GMRSD Elementary Family Science Night - Bus Sign-Up
We are hosting a family Science Night on Thursday, May 16th (rain date: Thursday, May 23rd) at Gill Elementary School. There is very limited parking at Gill; therefore, we are offering transportation on a school bus. In order to know how many busses we will need, please complete this registration form by Friday, April 12th.
Pick-up and drop-off locations include Food City, Millers Center, and Sheffield Elementary School. Parents or caregivers must ride the bus with their student(s).
Your sign-up will be confirmed with an email and we will supply you and your student(s) with Science Night bus tickets.
Friends of Sheffield (FOS)
Bingo for Books
Please save the date, and join Friends of Sheffield for some family fun at our Bingo for Books event happening in the Sheffield Auditorium on Friday, May 3rd from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. It's free to play and allows winners to choose a new book and other small prizes. We will also have a round of fun bonus prizes that have been donated from area businesses. This event would not be possible without the support of the following businesses for sponsoring our event: Judd Wire, C and C Hillside Farms, Shumway Painting Company, The Imaginary Bookshop, Greenfield Savings Bank, Montague Village Store, and Lively Builders.
If you'd like to attend, please RSVP by clicking HERE.
Calling all bakers, we need your Help!
We're hoping you can donate small treats for FOS to sell at our concession stand during our Bingo event. We're looking for items like cookies, bars, muffins etc. that can be individually wrapped. Please see our flier for more details. If you can help, please sign up by clicking HERE.
Teacher Appreciation Week - May
Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up from May 6th - May 10th, and we have a few things planned to show our Sheffield Pride how much we appreciate all that they do. We'd like to offer a coffee service complete with a barista as well as donuts. We're also planning something lunch related on a separate day. We are asking for monetary donations in lieu of signing up for an item to be dropped off at the school, and need to raise $250. Can you help us with this? Cash and check donations can be dropped off at the main office or you can donate via Venmo: https://account.venmo.com/u/Friends-Sheffield, (VENMO username: @Friends-Sheffield, CODE: 1180).
Please check out our flier for some appreciation week ideas. Also, check out our link to Teachers and Staff Favorite Things. Here you’ll find their favorite colors (for Friday’s activity) as well as gift ideas, or classroom supplies.
If you have any questions or comments about any of the above, please reach out via email: friendsofsheffield@gmail.com
