Sports This Week
It's been a busy week this week, with Swimming Sports, Zones, a Y4 trip and Football workshops courtesy of Auckland United FC.
I'd like to congratulate all of our Swimming participants, including the outstanding swimmers who spent today competing - a very high bar and an excellent performance, achieving 2nd Place overall. Thanks to Karen, Dom and all the parent helpers who volunteered their time for this event.
Litterless Lunches
Thank you to all those who have put in such a great effort to support this at home - it can be a challenge, but we have been blown away by the response and how much better the school grounds are looking already - please keep up the great work as it is very much appreciated!
PTA
Sincere thanks to the PTA for organising an opportunity for families to spend time together earlier this week at the PTA Picnic.
It's a great opportunity to take advantage of the summer days to connect with others and spend time on the field while the children play, and always great to see families turn out on the day.
Please also see below for information on this year's Colour Run. This is a major fundraiser that will contribute to a playground redevelopment later this year as part of the Board's Strategic Plan.
The more we are able to raise as a community, the more we will be able to invest in this fun project for the children, so sign up today if you haven't already. If that wasn't exciting enough, this time you get a chance to join in and get messy with your child on the day!

Start to collect stickers from individual fruit or labels (or bar codes) from Yummy Apple bags. A copy of the collection sheet was sent home on Monday to the eldest or only child in each family (please check your child’s bag), or it can be downloaded from the Yummy Fruit website at www.yummyfruit.co.nz. Collection sheets are also available in the office.
Completed sheets can be dropped back to your class teacher or the office any time until the 5th Sept 2025. Stickers will be redeemed for new sports equipment for MENPS - last year we received $1345 worth of sports equipment for our kids to enjoy! Thank you for collecting!
PTA Roles 2025 - Can you help??
PTA Communications Officer
We need a Communications Officer to support the PTA in 2025! This role includes working with the event planning teams to assist with comms for upcoming PTA events/initiatives, and includes writing the PTA section of the weekly school newsletter. No experience required, it is a fun and easy role to support MENPS and the PTA! Any questions - email menpspta@gmail.com
Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon - Sunday 30 March
Are your kids keen to enter the Central East Auckland Weet-Bix TRYathlon on Sunday 30 March?
MENPS has set up a dedicated group and will have a MENPS Tent at the event on the day that you are welcome to come and hang out at. Please come and join the fun at the MENPS tent even if you have already registered!
For further details, and if you would like to join the MENPS team - you can do so here:
