Project Celebration 2026 Newsletter
December 2024
Hello Parents
Merry Christmas! I hope you are all preparing for a fun filled holiday season with family and friends.
If you are new to Project Celebration please see section below for all of the information of our organization. If you have been a part of our team for the last two years, Thank You for your hard work and dedication to our kids.
I have heard a few parents discussing that their child may not want to attend the after prom party that Project Celebration plans, to provide a safe evening for our kids. My reply would be, "Why not?" As a parent, I want to be sure my child is safe on this very dangerous night. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) statistics, approximately 1,000 children under the age of 21 will die on prom night. While you may not worry about your child abusing drugs or alcohol, unfortunately we must worry about our kids being on the roads while other kids are potentially drinking and driving on prom night. I would hate to have a tragedy in our community.
Additionally, all seniors will want to participate in Senior Sunrise and Senior Breakfast. Without parental support of Project Celebration, these two events will not having funding or volunteers to make it happen.
We have two short years to achieve our goal of planning a spectacular Senior Year for our kids. We can reach our goals with the help of each and every family. Volunteers and support make the difference. Thank you for all you do to support our kids.

About Project Celebration
Project Celebration is a parent and community driven group that raises money to support activities during the senior year. These activities include:
- Senior Sunrise Breakfast: begenning-of-year breakfast for seniors held on the field at Buchanan Stadium.
- Promenade Festivities: red carpet walk held at the high school showing off all of the beautiful and handsome seniors to the community before heading off to prom. Photo booths and backdrops available for lots of photos.
- After Prom Party: an all-night lock-in for all seniors with many fun activities and lots of prizes to ensure a prom night that is both memorable and safe.
- Senior Breakfast: end-of- year breakfast and slide show for seniors.
- Senior gift to the school
Project Celebration is not the prom committee, which is student driven. Project Celebration is independent of the school and does not receive funding from the district.

Spring Gala
Project Celebration's largest fundraiser is the Spring Gala in the Junior year. The event will be held February 22, 2025. More details to follow.
