• · The sensitive periods for this age have to do with morality and recognition of the group

4 areas we need to consider for this age group- moral and spiritual, physical, social and emotional, and cognitive:

• · Physically children are resilient in terms of health- good appetites and more open to trying new foods

• · Cognitively they retain information through experiential activities- reasoning mind

• · Moral and spiritually- children want to fit in and conform to group standards- passionate about rules

• · Social and emotional- children expect consistency, interested in what their peers are up to and want to be liked by others
