Front Door Screening
As our families are aware, KPBSD continues to support building security. During the school day, we thank you for your patience in waiting for the door to be unlocked as all visitors are screened by office staff before entering the building. Please note that it could take several minutes to occur based on location and availability of office staff.
End of Day Plans
Thank you for ensuring that your child and the office knows what their normal end of the day plan will be. NNS will use this as the default plan if there is any question. If you have a change in plans, please provide a written note or call our office at 776-2600 so we can document the change. Note: Our office does not answer the phone after 3:10 p.m. as they are involved in dismissal procedures. In the event of an appointment or other obligation after school, it is advised that parents sign their student out at the office before 3:00 p.m.
Your Feedback Matters
Families are encouraged to visit: https://kpbsd.org/communications/surveys/ and complete a variety of surveys that exist. Your input is greatly appreciated and supports the growth of our team.

Safety Drills at NNS
NNS, along with all schools in KPBSD, follows the ALICE protocol when pertaining to a safety closure, which is specific to when an intruder is identified on school grounds or in the school building. NNS also participates in monthly fire drills and a yearly Earthquake drill.Throughout the month of September, I will visit each class to talk about the importance of following “Stop-Look-Listen-Follow-No worries”in the event of an emergency. To finish our time, I will read a fun, fall-themed story. If you have any questions regarding safety at NNS, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
