I hope that everyone was able to enjoy a restful break over the long weekend. Returning from Thanksgiving break always feels like it is a sprint to our next break. However, we have 4 full weeks until Winter Break and it is important that students stay focused over the next few weeks. There are only 7 weeks left in the semester including exams. Semester grades will determine athletic eligibility as well as eligibility for some field trips such as the 8th grade Mackinac trip.

You can help your child stay on top of their grades by frequently checking Power School with your child and communicating with teachers. If you need help accessing that information, please contact the main office.

Just a reminder that Chromebooks need to be charged every night. A great habit is to have your child plug in their Chromebook before they go to bed. This way they will arrive at school in the morning with a fully charged device. When devices are not fully charged students are missing out on important things happening in class.

Soulard's organized a Give Back event to benefit the 8th grade trip to Mackinac. Our event was hosted and our students stopped by to receive the generous donation. Thank you Soulard's for helping our students work toward this trip of a lifetime.

Congratulations to the 7th grade class for bringing in the most canned food items for the Fill the Basket Drive. The 7th grade class will be provided with a special treat for their participation. Thank you to all of the families that donated, we were able to select 6 families within our district to receive a Thanksgiving Dinner basket.

All 7th graders will participate in Vision Screening on November 28th. If you do not wish for your child to participate in this screening. We must have a statement in writing to opt your child out of the screening. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the main office.
